Many of you must have seen the video of the demonstration of Samsung’s latest most advanced technology “The Smart Window”. The video has been quite popular on social networks but if you have still not seen it just read this article and you’ll know. Here is all you should know about it (if you are not willing to buy it).

It’s just a concept till now but it has been heard that it will go into mass production soon. I still wonder who will buy it?

Concept:
The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was the “iBoard”. This is a funny pic which I shared incidentally on my website’s facebook page:

Now you know what I meant by “iBoard”. Samsung, I think, caught that idea and instead of marketing it like a board they made a window out of it.

What it’s marketed like:

Samsung introduced the smart window on the international CES. It’s a transparent one sided window. And as the name suggests it is “smart”. That means you can have apps, widgets, internet and everything which a Smartphone can offer. It also has customized options for “windows”. Like, you can make blinds open or close. You can also view live television on it.

What it really is:
It is actually just a huge touch screen with a camera facing the other side. It gives a “transparent” window effect. I think the most impressive thing here is that they managed to make such a big high resolution touch screen.

Price:
The price has not been disclosed yet but I am certain it’s going to be no less than 2000$!

Target Market:
I have no idea who they are going to sell this bad boy too!!

Conclusion:
The conclusion is that this thing is pretty cool and can make you go like “wow” for the first time but still if you think about it you would find its pointless. I mean you have a TV already, and also a computer and a window too. Why will you spend 2000$ on a combination of all these? The Smartphone became popular because of the portability but this thing neither has that factor. And it doesn’t even perform the “window” job well! I mean it doesn’t allow fresh air to pass through it!

Now I know that you would love to be in the minority report but buying a “transparent touch screen TV” is not something I would recommend. What do you think about this technology? Would you buy it? See you in the comments

A mobile ad company, InMobi posted a new survey report which concluded that 41 percent of total US consumers have plans to buy the iPhone 5 after its release. The survey adds 50 percent of the above mentioned people are expected to buy the iPhone 5 in first six months of the release. As you might know that Apple will be making available the iPhone 5 for Sprint’s 52 million subscribers, this will obviously be a new market for Apple and the iPhone.

Since, a lot of customers across the globe will be buying Apple’s products, it is also believed that most of them will be playing with their smartphone to get it unlocked or jailbroken. Jailbreaking is a technology, where programmers, develop softwares and do reverse engineering to break the code of mobile operating system and then let people install whatever softwares which otherwise are not allowed to be run on the device. However, this practice may compromise the warranty of Jailbroken iPhone 5, but users for sake of experience will still be trying iPhone5Jailbreaks.org without thinking twice, that this may cause some issues with their expensive device.

Many other surveys also show similar results which means that this time iPhone will have very high demand than never before. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days is a realistic fiction novel written by American author and cartoonist Jeff Kinney, the fourth book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. It was released on October 12, 2009 in the USA and Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in Canada. The cover mainly depicts Greg with a beach towel and an empty ice cream cone, looking down at the ice cream (on the ground).

Plot summary

The book opens describing Greg’s worst summer ever beginning with Greg Heffley and Rowley Jefferson going to Rowley’s country club after school closes for the summer, but Greg is kicked out due to his complaining of the smallest of predicaments. The beach trip that he was looking forward to is canceled because the money went tight, so the Heffleys resort to going to the town pool, which Greg hates because of its hairy and rotund visitors.

Later, Greg and Rowley have a sleepover together, and watch a horror movie taken from Rodrick’s room. After the movie, Greg and Rowley soon become paranoid on account of a muddy hand that might strangle them, which was in the movie. Unfortunately for Greg, his mother, Susan finds out about the movie after Greg’s father told her when he found them sleeping in the bathroom, and then she starts a reading club in which he is the only participant after two days. The reading program, however, is put to a stop when Mr. Jefferson arrives with a huge bill that Greg and Rowley spent on fruit smoothies at the country club, and he forces Greg and Rowley to pay it off.

Greg and Rowley decide to do a lawn care service to pay the debt, but Mr. Jefferson only makes them one flyer for their business, after he tells them they can’t use his computer. Their first customer is Mrs. Canfield, who lives on Greg’s grandmother’s street. Unfortunately, the job does not go well, as the boys never used a lawn mower before, all the gas leaks out of the mower, and the instructions are in Spanish. When Greg tells Rowley he needs to do most of the work while Greg counts the money, that made Rowley angry and he quits. Greg mows Mrs. Canfield’s lawn by himself, but she refuses to pay him because he didn’t mow all of her lawn because of the dog poop on there.

Greg’s birthday soon arrives, but the gifts he receives are all gifts he hates, including a useless cellphone that only calls home and 911. This is because Greg’s parents believe that he, like his older brother Rodrick, will just rise the bill up if he gets a regular cellphone. Greg gets money in every card he receives, but Susan, his mother, confiscates it to pay off Mr. Jefferson. Uncle Joe’s dog, Killer, eats much of Greg’s cake, thus “ruining” his birthday. The following day, he and Rodrick both get fish as a makeup gift, even though it wasn’t Rodrick’s birthday, which Greg dubbed as “unfair”. However, when the family takes a trip to a water park, Rodrick’s fish eats Greg’s fish after Susan puts Rodrick’s fish in the same bowl because Rodrick didn’t feed the fish or clean the bowl once and was starting to feed off the algae growing on it.

The next day is Father’s Day, so the Heffleys visit Leisure Towers to spend the day with Greg’s grandfather. There, Frank tells of how his dog, Nutty, ran away to a butterfly farm. Greg’s grandfather reveals that he had actually run the dog over and Greg’s father takes off in disgust. He then buys a dog which Susan names “Sweetheart” and shortens to “Sweetie”, even though the dog is actually male. Even though Greg has wanted a dog for a long time, he quickly becomes annoyed at Sweetie, who naps on his pillow, sleeps on his bed, and “won’t stop barking” at the TV, and the only way that gets him to stop barking is when a commercial with gophers popping out of their holes comes up.

Greg’s mother keeps making Greg go to the town pool with her and Manny, which Greg agrees to only to hang out with Heather Hills, who is a lifeguard there. Greg tries to make a good impression to her, even though she barely pays any attention to him. One day, Greg decides to end the so-called “relationship” when he makes her clean a kid’s vomit and was too sick to clean it himself after he had to save Manny from the naked shower people.

The Jeffersons later invite Greg to go to the beach with them, which is where Greg had wanted to go, but he realizes it was far from what he expected, where he begins to have a breakdown from no electronics, almost got jumped by teenagers he pulled a prank on, and especially the Cranium Shaker, which almost makes Greg vomit. He tries to entertain himself, but he is sent home after he snaps a rubber band at Rowley.

Susan later tries to get Frank and Greg together, but both of them realize that they should keep their distance. She even got them tickets for a baseball game, but Greg thought Frank was trying to get rid of him for the incident that happened earlier, and calls the police on him, only embarrassed to discover the truth. To get out of it, they had to give the two cops their tickets. However, they both hate much of the same things, such as a comic named Li’l Cutie, where the writer has retired and passed it on to his son (who was possibly the basis of the character when he was little) and has made the comic even worse. Later, Sweetie is given to Greg’s grandmother for company after her old dog Henry died.

The book ends with Greg realizing that summer is over when he sees a photo album titled “Best Summer Ever!” It is a “horrible record” of that summer to Greg, but Greg writes that the person who had taken the pictures had told the story. [Source]

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw is a novel written by American author and cartoonist Jeff Kinney, the third book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. The book acts as a journal and follows the adventures of Greg Heffley, the narrator of the book, who is in the second half of his seventh grade year. Despite the title, it is not the final book in the series. The reason for the title is that Frank Heffley (Greg’s father) becomes fed up with Greg sidestepping his dad’s efforts to toughen Greg up. This book was released on January 13, 2009 in the USA. The cover mainly depicts Greg panicking in his underwear.

Plot summary

As a continuation of the second book, this novel rounds out the second semester of Greg’s seventh grade school year.

The book starts with Greg’s New Year’s Day. The follow-up is Greg’s Christmas, which is similar to Christmas in the first book; Greg gets nothing he likes from anyone. Uncle Charlie gives Greg a “laundry hoop” and Greg’s mother, inspired, starts making Greg do his own laundry. Due to Greg’s laziness, he does not do his laundry and does not plan to either. This plays a huge role later in the story.

Mentioned early in the story, Greg’s father is becoming tired with Greg’s “wimpy” ways. Also, the “worst teenager on our street”, Lenwood Heath gets shipped out to military school, sparking an idea in Frank’s head that plays a huge role in the story. Later, the Heffleys see Lenwood at a ticket booth with a crew cut, proper and incredibly polite. This causes Frank to decide to enroll Greg into military school, Spag Union, which takes place during Greg’s summer vacation. Greg tries in vain to change his father’s mind, such as doing activities such as soccer and Boy Scouts. However, they do not work. Therefore, Greg tries to impress Holly again, but it does not work at all. Finally, he settles for the sad fact he has to settle for Spag Union. But his summer won’t be bad if he took some memories with him.

One day, his dad finds Manny’s old blanket, Tingy, and throws it away. Manny gets revenge when he uses his dad’s Civil War battlefield as a play set. Then Manny walks up to Greg and says “Ploopy!” Greg doesn’t know what it means, so he asks to his mom, but she’s talking on the phone. She says, “What is a ploopy?!” which was the exact thing Greg wanted to know. Then Manny starts calling Greg “ploopy” to get whatever he wants.

On Easter Sunday, Greg gets in the car, accidentally sitting on Manny’s chocolate Easter bunny. He gets out of the car with chocolate on the back of his pants. Then Mom says that they can’t skip church when Rodrick takes off his pants and says “He can wear MY pants!” Mom gives Greg her Easter sweater to tie around his waist. In Easter church service, he looks at Manny, who is playing with the things Mom and Dad brought to entertain him, and then thinks about the day when Manny threw a fit at daycare when his mom cut his sandwich in half, not in quarters the way he likes it. Mom had to drive all the way there to make the extra slice. Then he whispers in Manny’s ear, “Ploopy!” Manny starts crying and Mom can’t calm him down, so they have to go home.

Also mentioned earlier in the story, the Heffley’s neighbors, the Snellas, are having a half-birthday for their youngest child Seth. During the party, the adults in the neighborhood have to perform silly acts and Mr. Snella sends the videotapes toAmerica’s Funniest Families, a spoof of America’s Funniest Home Videos, to win the $10,000 prize. It is revealed that Frank hates the performing and will do anything to get out of it. On the day of the party, Manny throws Seth’s present into a tree because he knew that Greg would snatch it away. It was a blue knit blanket. When Greg goes and retrieves it, his pants fall down revealing Wonder woman underwear, which he wore because it’s one of the only clean garments he has left. Frank, who happened to be next in line to perform gets away as Mr. Snella points his camera to an embarrassed Greg. He repays Greg the next morning by not sending him to military school, suggesting there are other ways that Greg can stay fit. While Greg enjoys his morning he goes to see Rowley and tells him he didn’t have to go to Spag Union after all.

The story ends abruptly as Rowley and Greg are sitting on the curb and meet a girl named Trista. Greg thinks Trista is cute and imagines that she and himself are in Rowley’s country club in swimsuits with Rowley serving them drinks. The book ends with Greg saying that it is corny to end with a happy ending, but he is out of paper and writes “The End” in big letters. [Source]

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules is a realistic fiction novel written by American author and cartoonist Jeff Kinney, the second book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, and is preceded by Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The narrator of the book isGreg Heffley, and it reads like a journal. This book is being made into a movie as the sequel for the film. The cover mainly depicts Rodrick shoving Greg.

Plot Summary

The book starts with Greg revealing that his brother, Rodrick, had found his other diary (The story of what happened is a big part of the plot, especially at the end of the book) and that his mother had bought him another. Greg is forced to join the swimming team over the summer holidays, because his dad thinks that he is destined to be a great swimmer. However, Greg hates the swimming team (despite winning the ” Most Lessed “Improved” award”) as the pool is freezing cold. One day, Greg’s mom forces him to wear his hand-me-down speedo, only to get laughed at by the others. Rodrick comes to pick him up, leaving him in the back with Rodrick’s musical instruments. Rodrick is always 30 minutes late. Greg decides he would rather walk home than have his head taken off by one of the drums. He also spends the rest of the swimming team meetings in the bathroom wrapped up in toilet paper so he doesn’t get hypothermia.

The next day, he returns to school, only to discover he still has the Cheese Touch from last year. He eventually passes the Cheese Touch onto the new boy, Jeremy Pindle. Greg also explains that the people with their surname letter higher in the alphabet are usually smarter (showing Alex Aruda and Christopher Ziegel). The only boy to break that rule was Peter Uteger, who rarely puts his hand up any more (as the other kids call him P.U). Greg claims to have started that to a girl next to him.

One day, Greg and his friends begin a joke called the “Invisible Chirag” where they pretend Chirag Gupta is invisible, but he eventually gets in trouble,Later the tri-school talent show takes place. Rodrick’s band, named Loaded Diaper (he spells it as Löded Diper, Rodrick is the worst speller in the family) gets in, hoping that his band can get noticed. Rodrick plans to have his band’s performance taped so he can send it to record companies, then he’s gonna quit school and do the band full-time. The problem is, when Rodrick’s drum solo begins, Mom starts dancing, and the camera focuses on her for the rest of the song, which ends up the Internet sensational viral “Dancing Mom” video. Rodrick is upset, because he has nothing to send to record companies, and in his anger, start telling his friends the story of how Greg got stuck in the women’s bathroom to everyone who had a brother or sister in his grade. In response, Greg tells the story of what happened.

Over the summer, Greg and Rodrick went to their Grandfather’s home, but there is nothing to do there, so Greg start writing in his old journal, but Rodrick stole it and made a run for it, but he tripped over a game set of Gutbusters. Greg took the diary back and took it to the nearest bathroom. He started ripping pages out of it, but someone comes in, and it’s a elderly woman putting on makeup. Greg was about to tell her she was in the wrong bathroom, because according to Greg, people in Leisure Towers are always doing stuff like that, but then another woman comes in, and he realizes that it was himself who made the mistake, and he was in the girls’ bathroom. Eventually, security got him out, but Rodrick had seen the whole thing from Grandpa’s TV, which is tuned to the security cameras. The next day a bunch of boys surround him, Greg braces himself for the teasing to start, but they start congratulating him. As it turns out, due to the affects of rumors, the story turned into one about him looking inside the girls changing room and taking pictures of the girl at Crossland High School, because of all of this Greg becomes one of the Most Popular kids at school for the first time.But still even what happened Greg helped his Brother on his project. Nokia C3

I got Nokia C3 3 weeks ago, getting used to it after my Nokia 7310 Supernova is bit hard for me, from simple keys to QWERTY keyboard is bit hard but easy for geeks or the one who knows how to use keyboard

I have bought Slate Grey, which is more of a bluish hue, and looks stylish nonetheless. There are also the Hot Pink and Golden White color variants of the Nokia C3, and all have metallic finish at the front. The back, where we have the 2MP camera, has a two-colored design. There is an aluminum battery cover in the middle with the front panel color without the metallic finish, and the rest is black plastic, including the sides.

On the left hand side are the microUSB and microSD slots, on the top you will find charging port and the 3.5 audio jack. The only other elements are two small buttons down at both sides that help you easily eject the battery cover.

The regular 2.4” LCD screen with QVGA resolution doesn’t have any touch layers over or under it, and it remains pretty visible under direct sunlight. Right underneath it are the two programmable soft keys, followed by two chrome-like action keys, and finishing down with the send and end buttons. The action keys on both sides of the square D-Pad complement nicely its chrome-like rim, and can be assigned to different tasks. Out of the box the one on the left of the D-Pad starts the Communities app, and the one on the right fires up Messaging, but you can assign different actions to them, which makes the default labeling next to them redundant.

The Nokia C3 thumb board is where the added value comes from, and it has the same four row layout and roughly the same keys as the E-series keyboards, but is slightly curved downwards and thus more comfortable to type. The keyboard is backlit in white like the rest of the physical buttons in the front, with the exception of the ubiquitous green and red for answering and ending a call.

The overall design reminds very much of the smallest Eseries phones from Nokia, which gives it a classy more expensive look; the metal plate over the battery is a thoughtful touch as well. Nokia has gone so far as to even skin the interface to look like the ones on the Eseries devices, so you can easily fool everyone around that you are typing away on a business-class smartphone.

Overall Nokia C3 is an awesome cellphone to buy!!

Some information about Jeff Kinney – Diary of a Wimpy Kid:

Diary of a Wimpy Kid (also known as Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Greg Heffley’s Journal or Diary of a Wimpy Kid: A Novel in Cartoons) is a realistic fiction novel written by American author Jeff Kinney. It is the first book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kidseries, being released on April 1, 2007. However, a slightly different version of the book was originally published online at FunBrain.com in 2004.  A movie of the same name was released on March 19, 2010. It stars Zachary Gordon as Greg Heffley and Robert Capron as Rowley Jefferson.

Plot Summary:

Gregory Heffley receives a diary from his mother, which he refers to as a “journal” and in it records the course of his first year of middle school.

The book begins with an introduction where Greg explains “The Cheese Touch.” It is very similar to the Cooties. Greg writes that a student named Darren Walsh touched “the Cheese” (an old, moldy piece of cheese on the schoolyard) with his finger, and is “contaminated” by it, thus creating the Cheese Touch. The Cheese Touch is then passed around the school, and eventually ends up with a student named Abe Hall, who moves to California, taking the Cheese Touch with him.

The entries in Greg’s journal record such the events and plots of Greg and his best friend “Rowley” . Together, Greg and Rowley discover they are too inept to become champion wrestlers, Greg plays the part of a tree in a play version of The Wizard of Oz and eventually sings in the play. On Halloween they end up being chased by some teenagers they taunted, all the way to Greg’s grandmother’s house then get soaked by a trash can full of water by Greg’s father who mistakes them for teenagers upon finally returning home. Christmas is not much better for Greg, who sees his younger brother Manny get everything he wanted, while Greg ends up with a weight lifting set his dad got him, also socks and books. His brother “Roderick” got him a best of Lil’ Cutie comic magazine ( A comic that Greg is disdainful of), an 8 x 10 picture of his uncle, and a red sweater because of a Christmas gift mix-up. His best friend “Rowley” recieves a “big wheel”.

The Big Wheel provides a source of tension between the two friends when Greg accidentally throws a football into the wheel of the Big Wheel while Rowley is riding it. The ensuing accident leaves Rowley with a broken hand and he receives much attention from the girls at school because of his injury. This makes Greg jealous and he plots to become more popular.

One of Greg’s activities is joining safety patrol where he chases the kindergartners he is supposed to be escorting home with worms. The incident is blamed on Rowley, but the truth comes out and Rowley is found to be innocent. Rowley is then promoted in safety patrol, resulting in the two friends becoming angry with each other. They start to drift apart. Rowley begins to hang out with Collin Lee while Greg retaliates by having a sleepover with Fregley, whose weirdness makes Greg uncomfortable. The sleepover ends disastrously in the middle of the night when Fregley eats a bag of jelly beans, which induces hyperactivity, and begins to chase Greg with a booger.

Greg also created the comic “Zoo-Wee Mamma,” which he gets bored of and abandons to allow Rowley to start drawing. Near the end of the school year “Zoo Wee Mama” is published in the school’s newspaper. Rowley gives no credit to Greg as the creator of the comic, which angers Greg. The two prepare to fight on the school grounds when they are interrupted by the teenagers who ambushed them on Halloween. As payback for taunting them, the teenagers try to force both Rowley and Greg to eat the Cheese of the Cheese Touch fame. Greg gets out of eating the Cheese by lying about being allergic to dairy products, but Rowley is forced to eat it. Greg explains the disappearance of the Cheese by saying he got rid of it and ends up being avoided by the other kids because he touched it and got the Cheese Touch.

At the end of the school year, Greg’s efforts to become popular remain unfulfilled as his bid to become Class Clown in the yearbook comes to nothing. The award goes to Rowley for writing “Zoo-Wee Mamma.” This does not affect Greg, who is friends with Rowley again and states that he does not care about Rowley being named class clown because if it goes to Rowley’s head, Greg will remind his friend he can tell the whole school just who ate the Cheese.
