These are the most profitable small companies in America and turning out monstrous chunks of cash.

1: Solar winds

The internet data traffic will multiply three times in five years’ time. Solar Winds is in the heat of that battle. The CEO is Kevin Thompson, who runs the information technology department. He operates the affordable software for monitoring the servers and networks. It accounts for 80 percent of the functionality IBM and HP offers. In 1999, Donald Yonce founded the company as he was a Wal-Mart executive. He has a stake of 15 percent in the company and that makes 640 million dollars. The stocks jumped to 140 percent over last year.
It has annual profit of 233 million dollars

2: The Grand Canyon University

The Grand Canyon University is a higher education university. Its revenue is at least 458 million dollars. It may be the best money making machine ever. Its CEO Brian Mueller was a teacher in high school and college professor.

3: American Public Education

The American public education teaches 2800 Wal-Mart employees after the CEO partnered with Wallace Boston in 2010. They have annual revenues of 291 million dollars.

4: Sturm, Ruger

This gun making company has annual revenues of 406 million dollars.
America is by the far the most heavily armed nation in the world now. The Ruger has released eight new models of guns in just one year. The new models are selling like hot cakes.

5: IEC Electronics

This company sells electronic components. The annual revenue of this company is 143 million dollars. The products of IEC include making circuits for military helicopters. It develops brakes for high speed locomotives. The company was closing down when Barry Gilbert came as acting CEO in 2002. But, with Gilbert the company shot to sky and still remains at that position.

6: IPG Photonics

This company has annual revenue of 514 million dollars. The CEO is from Russia named Valentin. He started this fiber optic company at 51 years of age in the lab of Institute of Radio Engineering in Moscow. Now, this guy is worth 1.1 billion dollars and lives in Massachusetts.

7: United Therapeutics

This biotechnology company has annual revenue of 827 million dollars. Martine Rothblatt was the founder of Sirius Satellite Radio. He is the founder of United Therapeutics. He was trying to find treatments for PAH (pulmonary arterial hypertension). Her daughter suffered from it. His PAH drug had 58 percent of sales last year.

8: Questcor

This is another biotechnology company and boasts profits of 344 million dollars. The chief drug of Questcor is Acthar. It treats the inflammatory ailments and auto immune system. The stocks fell from disgrace to 48 percent when Questcor decided to limit Acthar.

9: Rue21

This company deals in teen apparel. The annual revenue is at least 822 million dollars. The company has 843 stores in America. The stores are in rural areas and small cities, where they reign supreme. The stores have their own dressing rooms and music selection. There are teen advisors who give feedback on fashion trends and products.
