13 November 2012 No Comment

Skyfall is the latest offering in the James Bond films featuring Daniel Craig. Skyfall has set new records at box office, but for James Bond, its routine business. It has been fifty years since James Bond was introduced in the 007 films. The spy from Ian Fleming has hundred percent success ratio.

The legendary secret agent celebrates his 50th birthday and did it in a ravishing style. Skyfall broke the record of Quantum of Solace for the biggest box office opening of 67.5 million dollars. Closely following are:

1: Taken 2 with 4 million

2: Argo with 6.7 million

3: Wreck it Ralph with 33.1 million

For James Bond and 007 movies, there never has been a disaster or box office failure as we know it. Even the 1967 Casino Royale was well received. The movie, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service was a colossal hit, when it was released.  It was a big hit at that time. The bond franchise has been lucky enough not to produce a failure yet.

At one point in time, the franchise hits rock bottom. But not for James Bond franchise, as it gets stronger and more powerful. The secret recipe is used by Coco Cola and James Bond franchise. That is, they know their audience well and know their expectations. But, the formula does change and alter sometimes.

The formula has to remain same; otherwise the Bond movie franchise will crumble. The movie is reminiscent of British style and backdrop, which was the pinnacle of James Bond movie’s success.

There is a love for British air in the American markets. Skyfall was number one movie this weekend for men in the age of 25 years. The film has raked in 87.8 million dollars and is expected to make more. Since the opening of Skyfall, the movie has grossed 430 million dollars across global markets. James Bond is set for bigger and better horizons.

Plot synopsis

Skyfall reaches into the childhood of James Bond and showed him at his weakest point. There was another difference between Skyfall and remainder of Bond franchise that there were surprises in the movie, which will alter the landscape of Bond franchise forever.

The death of M

The heroine is played by Naomie Harris, who thought that this was another Bond movie. But, it got better for her and she could be in the subsequent movies too. This is good news for her.

After, Avengers was released, it is a frequently asked question that how many movies has the actor signed up for? She was reluctant to talk about contracts yet.

Also, the main character in the MI5, named M dies in the movie. The director of the movie Sam Mendes told everyone about the death of M. There was positive response from everyone. Dench thought that it was very sad and heartbreaking to let go of the role, she so dearly loved. It was an exciting outing for her. Dench was the longest appearing person in the Bond franchise. It was terrific to have a huge fan base of men after her, notes Dench.
