Destination Asia: Japan vs China

Japan has been labeled as the country of culinary delights. In comparison, Africa is the worst in terms of food. Japan was handpicked as the most warm and friendly country in Asia. On the other hand, China was the coldest country for tourists. It wasn’t friendly at all. Hong Kong was chosen as the shopper’s paradise for tourists. Chinese came close in terms of shopping.

A poll was conducted from some 3000 people, who had visited:

1: Hong Kong

2: Taiwan

3: China

4: Australia

5: Japan

Culinary delights

Japan has been on top of culinary delights on tourists list. Asia was the favorite dining destination for tourists.

  • Japan ranked 48 percent.
  • Taiwan ranked 34 percent.
  • Hong Kong ranked 30 percent.
  • Thailand ranked 29 percent.

The travelers have confessed that taking food decision is the deadliest of decisions and in terms of Japan; this decision was the most vital one.

Waka-Waka: It’s time for Africa

Africa was termed as the worst continent in terms of food delights. The tourists from Asia and Pacific had a hard time while their time in Africa. The travelers rated it at 23 percent. England is closely following Africa with 22 percent. The USA is the farthest behind with 17 percent.

Australians were very cautious, while eating foreign foods due to food related illness. They have most cases of food poisoning. The Asians in comparison felt least sick. Africa should opt for opening Chinese restaurants for boosting tourism.

Shopper’s paradise

Hong Kong was termed as the shopper’s paradise for tourists. Hong Kong is verily the best shopping destination in Asia. The response was 38 percent. Japan was next in line with 34 percent along with USA at 33 percent. The tourists in Hong Kong purchase loads of souvenirs.

The Chinese tourists are very thrifty. They are reported to spend 900 dollars a trip. The Australians liked clothes shopping, while Japanese tourists opted for souvenirs. The tourists from Taiwan, China and Hong Kong went for local foods.

Travelers from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China tended to buy local specialty foods. Japanese were more likely to get souvenirs and Australians preferred shopping for clothes.

Warm and friendly

The travelers were asked as to which countries were the friendliest and which were the least friendly. The openness and friendliness of the countries has to be taken in consideration.

Japan once again came out on top with 31 percent. It is the friendliest country in the world closely followed by Thailand and Taiwan. But the Australian and Taiwanese people were patriotic and named their own country as most friendly. But Hong Kong didn’t make the list by a long shot.

Least friendly and hostile

China was termed as the least friendly country in the world by tourists. The unfriendly rate for China is at 34 percent. Also, in line are Korea and France with 17 percent and 20 percent respectively. China was not liked by Japanese, Taiwanese and Hong Kong tourists.

The survey does not review on what basis, this hatred arises.
