Panama has gained total control of its canal since twelve years and the economy is on the rise. Cranes are seen every day along the Panama City skyline. The high rise buildings develop one after another. It has become a hub for daily immigrants. There has been a huge influx of American investors and expatriates. They have built hotels and bought retirement homes in Panama City. America and Panama uses the same currency. The Panama real estate is hot.

The projects under pipeline are Panama Canal, which is in the blooming stages of a multibillion dollar expansion. The project will further deepen and widen the canal and add two locks cargo capacity will be doubled. People would love to see the original waterway. The expansion will finish in 2014. The canal will celebrate its one century celebration.

There are other high profile and rich constructions currently in progress such as:

1: The Panamera

2: The first Waldorf Astoria hotel

3: Trump ocean club

4: The BioMuseo is a natural history museum which will open in 2013.

The historic quarter of Casco Viejo has been transformed. It was famously dilapidated. The neighborhood has narrow streets, century old homes as well as neo colonial governmental buildings. UNESCO awarded the place a World Heritage Site in 1997. It has coffee shops, art galleries and street musicians, making the world seem beautiful. Also, there are stylish and sexy boutiques and excellent restaurants.

The backpackers simply love the Bocas Del Toro archipelago and it’s a famous stop for the wanderers. It is situated on the Panama Caribbean Coast. It has snorkeling and zip lining too. The night is so eventful after a tough day.

2: Helsinki, Finland

The city of Helsinki was founded in 1550 and is called the Daughter of the Baltic. Since 1812, it has been the capital of Finland. It has been shown in many cold war movies.

The city of Helsinki is quite known for its Copenhagen food fame and also not to forget the trend setting fashion. It has sparked a fire in the city’s popularity. Finland is known for its Nordic culture. The city of Helsinki is all set for the rise of tourism and tourists.

In 2012, it received the World Design Capital award from the International Council of societies of Industrial Design.

The city of Helsinki has been an integral constituent of design. It’s embedded in its DNA. Now, the design district has become official and has entailed at least 25 streets along with 200 businesses on design basis. They include clothing stores, housewares, boutiques and furniture’s. The design has also penetrated through the restaurant and hotel industry too. The Chez Dominique and Olo have been entailed into the design.

A well-invested and well-funded Helsinki music center has been inaugurated for 242 million dollars. The students assemble from Sibelius Academy. It’s a university, which is dedicated to music only. They perform in a high expensive glass walled space.
