In this article, we will review the LG Optimus L3 Smartphone, which is a low end Smartphone. Does it have enough to be called a Smartphone? I think not.

The LG Optimus L3 is an entry level Smartphone. which has a host of unimpressive specifications. The design is not awe inspiring either. The user experience is not fluid. The pricing is very impressive on the contrary.

The L3 is the third of the Smartphone’s in the Optimus L line up. It’s a sister to a low end phone L5 and high end phone L7.
As the other smart phones are very pricey, the sole selling point of LG Optimus L3 is its incompetent price. In the market, there are far more interesting, engaging Smartphone’s which are pleasing and feature groundbreaking specifications are aesthetically.

It does not stand a chance against the likes of HTC and Samsung or even iPhone for that matter.

The price of the LG Optimus L3 is only 100 pounds, which may appeal to many people. It falls below the accepted market standards.

It has too many limitations. It has an 800 MHz processor. You can guide through the Android 2.3 Gingerbread home screen and menu easily. The pixel resolution is low.

The first impression is the last impression is the last, and so is the case with LG Optimus L3. It fails to impress with its low resolution touch screen. The visual effects are not impressive and images are corny.

The LCS TFT touch screen is capacitive in nature and the resultant screen is pitiful. It has a QVGA feature which has a 320*240 pixel resolution. This means that images are low quality and further damaged with the 256 K colors. The pixel per inch image is 125 which are poor and sub-standard.

The LG Optimus L3 offers few bells and whistles to blow as compared to other competitors. It main competitor, the Orange San Francisco has the same price and has an 800*480 pixel resolution display.

The Alcatel OT 602 has a 320*240 pixel resolution display at the same price.

The HTC Desire C has an Android 4.0 operating, system up and running.

But some credit to LG Optimus L3 must be given as the LG Optimus L3 has its own 1 GB inbuilt memory. The other competitors are relying on micro SD cards for internal memory.

That is the one standout and impressive feature, which separates the LG Optimus L3.

The device does have a micro SD slot, so you can expand it to 32 GB. This is a marked improvement in this less than impressive Smartphone.

Like all modern Smartphone’s, the LG Optimus L3 offers, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi availability and also provides Bluetooth. It’s customary in all the smart phones.

There is no update to the Gingerbread operating system. LG also decided to use the Optimus 2.0 Lite interface which is yet another blunder.

The overall user experience is less than fluid and does not offer any prospective selling point.

However, there are better Smartphone’s in the market than LG Optimus L3.
