Kate Louise Lawler (born 7 May 1980) is an English reality TV personality, DJ, and model. She was the first female winner of Big Brother UK, winning the third season (2002) of the reality television show. Since leaving Big Brother, she has worked as a television presenter and personality, a model and as a disc jockey. She was born in Beckenham, Kent.

Big Brother

Kate Lawler won the third series of Big Brother in 2002, becoming the first female contestant to do so. She applied for the show in order to raise funds for a flat deposit in the area where she lived. Her twin sister was originally set to apply, but eventually backed out with Kate opting to apply in her place.

Personal life

On 26 January 2007, Lawler was banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding at 92 mph in a 60 zone in Ugley, Essex. She received a £1,100 fine and three points, pushing her over the 12-point limit resulting in the ban.
