Free Wordpress Theme: ilookgood 1.1 (UPDATED)

ilookgoodHello & Salam Everyone,

UPDATE: After some error notifications by Wordpress Themes Team, I have updated the theme, check the known bugs section to see which bugs were found and are now fixed in this release.

Today I am glad to release my first free wordpress theme – ilookgood. A light, decent, stylish and highly flexible theme. Some elements of the theme are based on Arthemia (comments section) & LightWord (Sidebar).

Theme Basic features:

2 Columns, Widget Ready, Layout Customization done via Options page.

Advanced Features

Sidebar: On right side by default, but just by changing a setting in Options page it could be placed on the left side.
Header: Header consists of two navigations bars

  1. Top green bar
  2. Center black bar

These bars have general elements like category list, page list, search bar, social icons. The twist is that you can decide which element goes on which bar. You can decice if you want to show Home link and on which bar. You can also decide where to place category list on top bar OR black bar. Same goes with page list. (Advice: Don’t place both categories and pages on same bar, it will look really ugly + cluttered). You can also place search bar & social icons on these bars. You can place them both on same bar OR you can place them on different bars. Choice is totally yours.

Social Icons:

You can add your facebook url & twitter id, currently their is not a option to remove them, but it will be in next version (I promise).

Logo:

We have left the source psd for logo in package, Feel free to use that to make your own custom logo OR you can create your own (I know many will prefer the second choice, default logo is not very good but then again I was never good at designing), default logo’s width and height is: 283×81, but in case if your logo doesn’t fit in those dimensions you can specify the new height and width.

Post / Page Meta Customization:

Not much in this section, just that you can choose to Remove author info from posts & You can also choose if you want to show “Tags” OR “Categories” at the end of posts.

Category / Page list customization:

Just like every other theme on planet, we have also added option to select the pages or categories you want to be displayed on top bars. But unlike other themes – where you have to enter page or category id’s in a comma separated format, We have placed a multi-select menu so you can choose directly.

Well these are the features, now let me tell you some of the short-comings that I already know and will try to fix in the next version:

1) Logo in header is not click-able
2) Footer is ugly
3) Comments are not displayed on Pages
4) My ids are set by default on Twitter and Facebook Icons
5) Twitter, Facebook icon’s can’t be disable currently
3) There are more obviously, but I am sure you will find and let me know ;)

    I downloaded your blog theme and really love it, however, I can;t add additional category to the nav bar. When I go into wordpress dashboard to add a new category and then go back to the theme option page, the new category does not appear. Only general, can you help me out with this?

    Hi – really like your theme but the built in search button is not working – cannot enter text. Any suggestions on how to repair or just remove it? Might be a good option to permit in the customization menus.

    Very nice looking theme. Are there any known conflicts with a php contact form called secure and accessible. The contact form worked when originally installed and now since installing the iLookGood theme, the contact form doesn’t work? Any suggestions?
