Facebook vs Twitter – A personal review

Facebook VS Twitter

Facebook VS Twitter

With all the excitement about Facebook & Twitter, I thought why not share my personal review between the two.

To be frank I never check Facebook daily, but Twitter yes, If I don’t check Twitter I feel like am missing alot. So daily after logging into internet, after Gmail I open twitter.com as my second website of the day.

Twitter.com is kept open till am on PC with the plugin Reload Every *if am using Firefox, if Chrome then I have to refresh it myself 🙁 can Chrome developers get plug-ins feature as soon as possible please?*, yes I don’t use any of the twitter application *Destroy Twitter, TweetDeck* nothing, I like to view it from web ;p

Why I like Twitter alot is the question now, well Twitter is like getting updated, getting touched within few seconds, most of the tweeple *people who use twitter* out there would be using twitter through applications, cell phones, would quickly get the update and respond.

Facebook is like, you update and now waiting for friends to respond and for me Facebook is fish market, lots of features, lots of applications *okay I do like and play FarmVille, but other applications? I don’t even check*, for FarmVille I do login to Facebook, other than that I don’t like Facebook.

So for me Twitter wins the race, what about you?

I like both Facebook and Twitter too. I agree with you that Twitter is more immediate. I just use it from the web and have to keep refreshing so maybe I miss a few tweets if I don’t do it very often, in between doing other things online. I also use Twitter from my mobile, can get DMs and tweets from a few selected tweeple. But on my mobile package in UK I only get 50 inclusive sms a month so don’t send too many that way.

I like Facebook as one can connect with people in different ways. Some of the applications are fun, some don’t work properly 🙁 I don’t like Farmville or any of those that involve collecting things – don’t have time for them. It’s easy to get so many friends that you don’t know who they all are, but some are family and friends who I actually know personally. And some of the new online friends are nice. So I have lovely friends all over the world.

I do look at Facebook first before Twitter, but they are both good so they are about equal for me. Thanks for writing this nice blog.
